4. How to Manage Forums
Forums can easily be managed from the ‘Main Admin Control Panel’ or ‘Moderator Admin Control Panel’ – The ‘Moderator Admin Control Panel’ can be accessed by moderators or administrators by clicking on the ‘Moderators’ button when viewing any page of any forum.
4.1 How to edit and delete messages and replies.
Topics can be deleted from the 'Forum Manager' in the admin control panel by clicking on the ‘Delete’ link next to each forum.
Moderators and Administrators can use the ‘Moderator Admin Control Panel’ to delete topics.
If you want to delete replies of topics, go to any reply of a topic in any forum and click the 'Edit Message Icon'. Moderator or Administrator access is required to be able to delete replies.
4.2 How to move or copy topics to other forums.
Topics can be copied or moved to other forums from the Control Panel >> Forum Manager. Click on the copy or move links.
4.3 How to run moderated forums.
When forum moderation is enabled in specified forums all messages that is posted needs to be approved by a moderator or administrator before it can be displayed. The ‘Moderation’ link in the ‘Forum Manager’ next to each forum enables you to approve new messages that have been posted.
Note that moderators and administrator posts is automatically approved if moderation is turned on. You can specify that a forum is to be moderated when creating a forum. This setting can also be set in the Control Panel >> Forum Manager. Click the ‘Forum Settings’ link next to each forum listed.
There is also a ‘Moderators’ button in all forum pages where moderators can login to the ‘Moderator Admin Control Panel’ to approve new messages. The ‘Moderator Admin Control Panel’ also comes with other moderator features.
4.4 How to delete forums and forum categories.
Forums and it’s entire contents can be deleted from the Control Panel >> Forum Manager. Click on the ‘Delete Forum’ next to each forum listed.
Entire categories with their forums can also be deleted by clicking on the ‘Delete Category’ link for any category.
4.5 How to re-order forum categories and forums.
Click on the ‘Re-Order Forum Positions in This Category’ link to re-order forum positions for categories.
