Question: When I try to search, I get a message that the maximum searches allowed was exceeded. How do I fix this or why does this happen?

Answer: PowerSeek comes with a facility that will limit the number of searches from each unique IP address from where a search is performed. The reason for this is to block spam bots or any automated scripts or bots from doing searches trying to slow down or bring down the server.

You can increase the amount of searches 'per unique IP address' or disable this setting by going to the PowerSeek Control Panel >> Settings >> Global Engine Settings >> 4. Search Settings >> Look for the setting reading:
'Number of searches allowed by unique IP Address:'
