Question: I recieve the following error:

Software error:
Cannot connect to mySQL server Access denied for user 'your_database_username@localhost' to database 'tseek'

Answer: The usual problem of this happening is that the database user name, database password or database name supplied in setup.cgi is incorrect.

If you have PowerSeek set up on your own server ensure that the database for use with PowerSeek exists, and also ensure that the user name and password is in the MySQL grant tables to provide you with access to the database that is to be used by PowerSeek.

If you run PowerSeek off a virtual hosting account, contact your host to ensure that the database name, database user name and database password you have is correct.

Some other causes of the problem.

Let's say you have a virtual hosting account. The account includes Mysql access but you have never used it. In many cases you will need to contact your host and ask them to create a database for you with a user name and password to access this database.

This is rare but some times host providers will run MySQL on a different host. In this case you will have to supply a hostname and a port in setup.cgi where assigning the setup details for MySQL.
