You installed PowerSeek for me but when I load http://www.mydomain.com I see no front page?
Answer:
PowerSeek will do everything for you except create a front page. The reason for this is that the web server in most instances won't allow a script to write to: http://www.somedomain.com/index.html
What this means is that index.html is protected and can normally not be overwritten or written to by any scripts installed on the web server.
Creating your front page will take a couple of minutes. Additionally creating it yourself gives you the freedom of having it as a standard web page leaving room to easily edit and customize it. There are various methods available to create the front page of the Directory with PowerSeek. The easiest method is explained when going to the PowerSeek Control Panel >> Home tab >> Startup Wizard - For New Users >> Click on 'Step 2' and follow the instructions.
Creating your front page with PowerSeek is a matter of obtaining HTML or Javascript code from the PowerSeek Control Panel and placing this code inside index.html - Much like placing Google Adsense's JavaScript or HTML code within a web page to display adverts. The HTML code and Javascript code obtained from the PowerSeek Control Panel for the front page provides the Search Box for the Directory and displays the Main Categories of the Directory.
