Question: I only want to list main categories on the index page of my Directory. I don’t want to list the sub categories of the main categories on my front page.
Answer: To do this, go to the

Control Panel >> Create/Configure Front Page >> 1. Setup/Configure Front Page >> Choose the Front Page Method you would like to use.

After choosing the 'method' there will be various options regarding your front page categories and one of them will be to exclude/include sub categories.
