Question: PowerSeek is not sending emails. What is wrong?

Answer: If you are using the sendmail program ensure that the server path to your sendmail program is correct. To check this run setup.cgi – If you don’t know the path, contact your host and ask them what the full server path to the sendmail program is.

- If you are using SMTP, ensure that you are using the correct mail server address. The correct mail server address would look something like this: mail.yourdomain.com - This address needs to be the address of the mail server for the domain where PowerSeek is installed on.

- Ensure that you are sending email from a valid email address. This means that the email address that you are sending from needs to be some_email@yourdomain.com (an email address from the domain where PowerSeek is running on) To set this, go to the control panel and click on the ‘Settings’ tab. Then click on Customize Emails. In this section you can customize all email that is going to be sent. Ensure that in each email the ‘From Email’ address belongs to the domain where PowerSeek is installed on. For example some_email@yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com would be your domain name.
