The 'Add Url' page takes too long to load because there are so many categories in the 'drop down' box, or the 'Add URL' page is taking a really long time to load. |

You have to many categories in the drop down box. Use the Large Search Engine 'Add Url' templates. To switch to the ‘Large-Search-Engine-Add-URL-Templates’, click on the 'Settings' tab. Then click the 'Global Engine Settings' link. Look for a setting that reads: 'What 'Add URL' form will you be using?' – Set it to 'Large Search Engine'.
Now, go to the template manager by clicking the 'Template Manager' tab and customize the 'Add URL' templates to suite your needs.
Q: What is the differences between using medium and large sized search engine ‘Add Url’ forms?
The directory tree is available as a dropdown box in the 'Add Url' forms when using Medium Sized Search Engine 'Add Url' templates.
The directory tree is not available as a dropdown box in the 'Add Url' forms when using the Large Sized 'Add Url' templates. Users have to go to the category where they would like to submit a new Url and then click on the 'Add Url' link. |
