... I don't know how to do it! I'm curious about the possibility of using wildcard characters in the "File names which you would like excluded from searches:" section. This would allow me to ignore generated files that I don't want parsed that are kept in the same directory as ones I do but have the same extenstion.
Let's say (for example) that I have a FM Search set to parse .cgi and .shtml files. In a directory I have a number of files with several leading zeros like this:
I want to parse the .shtml ones but not the .cgi. Now since I can't apply file extension filters from a directory perspective, another handy alternative would be that I could exclude files by using a format like 000????.cgi instead of having to explicitly state that 0000002.cgi should be supressed.
Granted, I will agree that perhaps I shouldn't be putting them in the same directory but the software I'm using for other things (like article management or FAQ maintenance) dont' always allow for this.
