I have a site that I would like to add your SiteNet BBS to. From the demo, I see that I can highly customize the pages, which is great. But I would like to be able to integrate the most recent replies to certain topics into my html pages with a SSI.
For example, my site has many reviews on it. Each review has it's own .shtml page. For each review, I'd like to create a topic in a forum so that people could comment on the review. In order to entice them to get to the bboard page, I'd like to be able to include the last 4 or 5 replies (comments) for that topic with a button to add their own (either right from that page or to bring them to the bboard).
Is this possible with SiteNet BBS?
Thanks,
Dave

You should be able to do this by using SSI in an HTML page. The ssi tag should look something like this:
The link to the page should look something like this:
http://www.yourdomain.com/something.shtml?fid=162&cid=160&tid=610&pg=1&sc=20&x=0
The paramaters '?fid=162&cid=160&tid=610&pg=1&sc=20&x=0' are passed on from the address of the .shtml file. This can be obtained from the URL address when viewing the topic that you want to include in a page.

I was confused there for a second, you have to view the source of the page to see the include.
I'm kinda following you, and maybe what's making this tough to understand is that I can't test this because I don't have the software.
Would the above method just pull the whole bboard page into the .shtml page or would I be able to customize it at all? The width of the main content area on my .shtml page is about 380 pixels so I need to keep it tight and neat.
I also should mention that I found Sitenet BBS because I was looking for Quick Page Commenter. All links on the internet seem to lead to:
http://www.focalmedia.net/qpc.html
which redirects me to... Southern Africa! Do you know what happened to this software?

Something you could try is to install the shareware version to see if it will do what you want it to do.
The above method will pull in the topic. (Like viewing this topic) - The width of the board should adjust to your page, depending on the template you use for the forum.
QPC has been discontinued until we have a more high powered solution for that available.
