My web site currently being designed but needs to have the capability of having multiple forums dedicated to different groups of people. How is the pricing ? Is it per forum ?

You can install as many instances of the forum software on one domain as requried. The licensing works on a 'per domain' basis. This way you can install different forum sets for multiple groups of people or you could do one installation and create all the forums with one installation.

Hello Gerit.

could you elaborate a bit when you said "or you could do one installation and create all the forums with one installation."

I have been debating if to use phpbb from cpanel as its easy to install, i.e. it takes a couple of minutes to do a full install or if i should use sitenet for seperate forums.

phpbb with respect offers a great number of features but it also offers greater security risks, also the size of the install is larger.

what would be involved in creating 1 install and using it as a master copy, i.e. i would set up everything as a template install, then having the ability to duplicate it into another folder..

the script would allow me to enter new database details or a new prefix for the database, then copy all files and settings into a new directory.

just a thought..

Kind regards
Carl

Just as with this Forum you have the categories, PowerSeek, Turbo Seek, etc. where you can add forums inside the categories. This is what I mean by multiple forums.
