hi again

noticed some discrepancies between the look of SiteNet BBS on a mac and pc, and need to know how to make it "standard" across both platforms.

the main issue is the placement of the top 5 buttons. on a pc, they are laid out horizontally nicely, with the "messages posted in the last ..." pull-down below, and "post new topic" and "post new poll" below that.

on a mac: it's "register", "my profile", "login/out" on one line, "search" and "moderators on one line. is there a way to fix this? mind you, it could be my client's macs. but they have a total of five in their office, and ALL OF THEM have this affect, regardless of screen size.

The button placements not being what it should, may occur if there is not enough forum width. If you customized the template that SiteNet BBS uses, make the table in which it resides wider.

If you used a customized image displaying to the left of the buttons, try to make is smaller.

Different browsers will in most instances display HTML a little differently.

thanks gerrit. that's what i was thinking. is there a minimum size for the forums? on a pc, from 640x480 to 1024x768, it looks fine, but on a mac ... unpredictable. i've set the forum width to 98% of the screen.

Displayes correctly from this side.

640x480 is a very limited resolution. I would recommend 800x600 - Most modern computers will normally be set to 800x600 by default.

Try to make the buttons and top graphic displayed next the browser smaller.
