I have sitenet forum running on my site and performing well. However, the email to moderator which is very important does not work. I have moderators set up for each forum and have assigned these moderator users the status of "moderator" in the user manager.

The recieve notification of replys to my post is working fine as is the email forgotten password so I think there is no problem with the server formail.

Any suggestions??

Hi Liam,

Check to see if the case of the moderator names (when you click settings to assign moderators from the control panel) is the same as the actual moderator name that is displayed when the moderators posted a message.

This is a minor bug with moderators and a fix will be available for it in the next version.

Hi Miles,
I checked this out and the case of the moderator in the user manager and in the forum settings are exactly the same.
Also, when the moderator posts a new message and requests notification of replies, an email notification comes to him no problem.
Is there any other settings I need to change??

Liam,

The moderator emails seems to be working fine from this side, but we are looking into this to see if we can duplicate your situation.

Something else you can do is to edit the moderator names and to ensure that their accounts are set to receive email of new posts. To do this go to the control panel >> user manager. Type the user names of the moderators and click the 'find' button. Ensure that the 'Receive Email Notification:' option is set to 'Yes' for each moderator account.

Let me know if this solves anything.

Miles

Miles,
Checked this and the moderators are set to receive notification of posts.
