- A whole new look and feel was implemented making the control panel
more user friendly and easier to use.
- Previews now available to preview templates from the template manager.
- Image authentication (letter boxes) for comments/reviews and new
submissions are now avilable to avoid receiving spam submissions or
automated submissions from submission services.
- A Front Page genarator is now available. The Front Page generator
will automatically update Front Page main categories. The
Front Page generator can be used by going to the Control Panel >>
Template Manager >> Create/Edit Front Page
- A !!home!! variable is now available in all templates. This is replaced
by a link to your Directory Front Page. (Index Page for example)
The link which is replaced by !!home!! can be configured by going
to the Control Panel >> Template Manager >> Create/Edit Front Page
(Bottom of page) - This is mostly usefull with new installations
from versions 2.x
- A global template importer is now available (under the plug-in's tab)
where one template can be created and it's look and feel can be implemented for
all templates automatically. The Master Template Importer is a quick and
easy way to implement your own look & feel to the pages/templates your
end-users will see.
- The livebuilt variable is now not in use anymore. This variable would be
used in Search boxes as a hidden form variable.
- You can now configure what type of Directory you would like to run.
(Static or Dynamic) This can be configured when going to the
Control Panel >> Settings >> General Configuration
- A 'Restore Default Template' option is now available when editing
templates. This option enables you to restore default templates
that comes with Turbo Seek in case where the modified template
has a problem or is not working as it should due to missing
variables or other HTML related problems.
- Links inside the Control Panel is now sorted according to the
sorting setting. The sorting setting can be configured when
going to the Control Panel >> Settings >> General Settings
With previous versions only link displays displayed to end users
would have the sorting that was specified in the configuration
setting.
- A new setup interface is now available with new options and features.
