Hi Miles,
I moved my website to another server and successfully migrated my data directory to the new system, following your TS Documentation. I see all the files in the CP.
However, when I try to Build the Index, i have a path changed error like below:
Could not create
/home/ni******/www/html/Arts_L2K_Entertainment
No such file or directory
Unable to execute /home/ni******/www/cgi-bin/tseekdir.cgi - Permission denied.
It is a path issue because my old server had the cgi-bin in the www directory while the current one has it in the publi_html directory. My new html directory is also in the current public_html directory.
Am I making sense? Can you advice me where to go to edit this? I did put the new paths in during setup, but it seems to be conflicting with what my data files remember.
Hoping you can help and I don't have to put more than 400 links in again from scratch!

Ensure that the directory:
home/ni******/www/html
has permission settings of 777
Also double check the server path in step 2 of setup.cgi
The execute problem can be bypassed as some things changed in the new version which should automatically solve the problem - Upgrade your copy to the latest version.

I upgraded and it fixed that problem. Thanks.
But I got the following while building the search index:
Content-type: text/html
Software error:
install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't locate DBD/mysql.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/etc
Perhaps the DBD::mysql perl module hasn't been fully installed,
or perhaps the capitalisation of 'mysql' isn't right.
Available drivers: ExampleP, Proxy.
at admin4.cgi line 462
For help, please send mail to the webmaster...etc
I ran it on MySQL in the past on the other server and I have created and specified the database here too. Also uncommented.
Any ideas PLEASE?
Thank you as usual for your promptness.

One other thing... I could run Tophits/Whatsnew index, Stats + Tree and I have 2 other MySQL databases working fine running PhotoPost PHP and Invision Board. The last 2 are PHP based. I created another DB for TS.
Hope the additional info can help shed more light.
Thanks.

I think it would be best to contact your host and tell them that the scripts has trouble locating the mysql.pm which is part of the modules required by DBI
My guees would be that the DBD::mysql perl module hasn't been fully installed or not installed at all. DBI usually has some other things that needs to be installed as well.
Doubt that it could be capitalisation problem.
Hope the info helps.

If I'm not mistaken DBD is required for perl to work with mysql.

Hi,
I just had the Perl Module installed and this time, when the Build Index reached the last item, it gave this error:
Can't call method "prepare" on an undefined value at admin4.cgi line 469.
Is this now a permissions error or something I am doing wrong.
Thanks.

The Module installation was fine. I typo-d my username during setup. Can you believe the level of dumbness! All is well now.
Thank you!
