I want to set up a local business directory, with options for listings - simple/advancded etc. and to be able to charge people automatically depending on what they want, and also to have a time limit on listings / email warnings about to expire etc.. Is this all available in Turbo? I am not sure what we get with Turbo.

These options are not available in Turbo Seek but it is in PowerSeek. (Turbo Seek's bigger brother)
PowerSeek supports premium listings. These premium listings can expire (have a time limit) and return to a 'standard' listing. Email warnings that the premium link is about to expire can automatically be sent out in conjunction with the CRON program normally available with Unix/Linux hosts.
Note that automatic charging is not supported (with PowerSeek) at present as you need to approve the premium listing submitted. (After payment for it has been done)
More on PowerSeek 'premium listings' here: (Also explains how to hook it up with an order processor)
