How can I hide the complete url path that shows under the description of each listing?

You will want to remove the variable word called %%itemurl%% from the links template.

To accomplish this, edit the template called: tmplsearch.html

You can edit the template by going to the Control Panel >> Template Manager >> Default Directory Template Plug-In
