Hi all
First I'd like to say that i'm liking this application the more i use it!
Is there a way i can reproduce the same functionality that the %%title_with_link%% field produces? By this I mean that if a url was entered it is linked.... if no url was entered it is not linked and in this case... not seen.
I want to list the url value (%%itemurl%%) and link (href) if it was entered. I also want to perform the exact same senario with a email address.
OR
Is there a way I can specify a default value for the %%itemurl%% field for situations when a url was not entered?
TIA
Can't wait for Version 2!

In the event where the listing has no URL, %%title_with_link%% will not have a link but just display as plain text.
PowerSeek (Turbo Seek's bigger brother) can probably be considered as Turbo Seek 2.0 - PowerSeek contains dozens of extra's and is probably superior to Turbo Seek in every way.

I realize this, that's exactly what i stated in my first message. I want to reproduce that fuctionality with other links on the page. For instance, i've created a custom field called "email". is there a way i could have another variable or text linked with the email variable depending on if they entered an email address or not (i.e. If they entered a email, it's linked... if they didn't enter a email, it's not linked.
I would rather stick with Turbo Seek if at all possible.
I did however browse the powerseek section of the website, and i didn't not see any indication that powerseek can perform the function i've listed above.
Cheers,

I believe the following should enable you to do what you want to do: (Display a default link if no link is available for the listing)
Create 2 extra fields. One for the title and the other for the link/url of the title. When creating the field for the URL specify a default value that will be displayed when nothing is available. Name the default value something like:
http://www.yourdomain.com/nolink.html

Hi, I came up with sort of another solution...
Create two new fields www1 and www2
default value of www1 = Visit My Website
Then on the default template pull the variables like so
%%www1%%%%itemurl%%%%www2%%
I realize that using the method above will create a link even if they do not enter a url... but the default values for www1 and www2 fields can be removed after the fact.
Another possiblity..... is to NOT create the default values for www1 and www2... now when they enter a url... it is not linked by default.... and maybe.... there is a small yearly fee for these fields to be linked/activated..... or maybe during the normal link approval process you enable the links if they are present.....
I also plan on implementing this for email addresses.
Another possible issue is that you must use single quotes in the the default value or else it gets messed up.
Whatcha think, think it will work ok?
