I have found that the templates function differently.
The default directory when I add the %%customfield%

it works fine :-)

On the search template when I add %%itemurl%% or %%customfield%% they show up as straight HTML.
This kind of weird since the %%title_with_link%% and
%%description%% work correctly and are entered all together in the listing link field.

again the the default and the search templates are basically build the same but function differently.

If I add <%%code%%> then it pulls the data correctly in the search template however if the results are null I get a period (.) where I preffer to see nothing at all.

Still working on this but so far the program is beautiful.

Good Work Guys.

Todd

If you want to be able to use the custom fields in search results (with the search links template), you need to tell the software that fields needs to be included when searching. When included the extra field data is added to the search index. - If you don't understand the above paragraph, don't worry, just follow the instructions below.

Go to the control panel. Click on the settings and options button. Then click on 'Define edit or delete keys/fields'. Ensure that the fields that you reference in the 'search links template' is set that they are included when searched. After this rebuild the search index.

Hope the above makes, sense. Let me know if you need more help.

I am going to try again as per your instruction but if I recall when I set my custom fields to be incuded in the search then when I searched I got an error saying is did not incude a zip code.

Does this mean I need to include a search field for the added keys?
