I found this site via google. I want to make sure this is what I want before I spend money on the software.

How does powerseek prevent spam bots from submitting bogus links?

You use the image authorization feature where the user has to manually input 4 images to successfully submit the listing. You can also use the optional reciprocal link feature. If chosen, the submission will not go through unless it locates a link back to the page you choose in the setup.

Hope this helps you decide.

Anyone who has been a webmaster for a while knows the havoc spam bots create. Spam bots process data. This is why they beat the image verification process.

I own a couple of vbulletin websites and manage a few others. I use a security question for registration, and before a contact me email is sent. I have the image verification turned off on all the sites with the security question. I have ZERO spam posts, ZERO spam bot registration, and near ZERO spam emails to my webmaster email account as a result.

If you try to register at this site of mine, you will see what I am talking about for a security question. www.greatlakesfisherman.com Look for the NOSPAM! question.

Remember...spam bots process data, they can not think. This is why the security question beats them!

Is there a way to replace the image verication with a securtiy question for link submission?
