Something that may stop spambot submissions.
Create another field where people should put WORD they see on the left of that field.
Words can be randomly generated/selected from the list of predefined words located somewhere in htaccess or text file by script. This field must be non-negotiable and you can't turn it off.
Real people can simply C & P (drag and drop) word in field, spambots can't. Much better than image system that in PS case can be beaten by submission scripts. |

I wish, I could say the same.
I don’t know if you noticed but you are getting spammed with URLs submitted by spambot script. That script has no problem to create 4 letters combination from only so many letters in alphabet. Good script can do that in fraction of second.
On another hand if you randomly use dictionary as your source and lets say combination of 2 words or combination of numbers and characters then… good luck Charley. No spammer will sit there for 24 hours waiting for script to crack virtual password to submit half of dozen sites |
