Hi Gerrit,
With regard the above,
If you select other 'fields' as well as the email address, how can you perform a 'merge' of this data to an email template showing only 'those' details of a specific email address
Any ideas?

Use something like GroupMail. http://www.groupmail.com
You can import tab delimited details with email address and use variables in the email message to personalise the email messages.
The last time I checked they had a free version available.
