I wish the fields that are images could also be optionally be hyperlinks to different pages. And another good idea I wish it had, was an option for me to set a image field to a default image if there is currently no picture using the field. This way empty space example in linkinfo.html pages that can be advertised with "Advertise here $$$", instead of being blank, if they dont have images there, it would give more incentive for users to pay for listings. It is a little hard to edit just one listing individually. In most cases the entire category has to be modified so its a bit tricker and harder to work with if you want 1 customized page.
Everything else is going great!

Hey Guru,
You can, and I do have it on my site, just an extra field for each image, and define that as your image hyperlink like as follows:
a href="!!UrlFieldName!!" target="_blank" !!ImageFieldName!! /a
(you fill in the html here right)
The only bad thing about this is your running into the max number of extra fields ceiling fast!
If you are talking about Images for each category in the listing of categories, then yes we need that, also like your second idea too.
Good luck

Guess Im kinda SOL (crap outta luck) I didnt create enough fields originally. I cant add new fields now can I? I was under the understanding they cant be added later, I wish I chose to use all fields to begin with. :(
Possible Solution: Even if there was a way to edit 1 particular "linkinfo.html" page per listing, that would make it ideal and alot easier to modify. The other pages would remain the same. This way an entire catagory doesnt have to be built on the same linkinfo.html pages. Heck I dont mind even doing my own html completely and add thumbs/hyperlinks, for paying customers, but seems you cant, not without modifying the entire catagory.

- FM says to plan your extra fields well before starting, BUT Only Profets know their exact needs in the coming years, and they do not need to build their own sites
- You can add fields theoratically but too risky as your chances of ending up with a corrupted database are higher than the success, BUT someday when we have a decent import and export facility we all will be able to do it.

You solved you own here, for premium listing template (CustomTemplateName -8ctst.html) , do away with the "more info" link, insert your own link there which can be difined at one of the extra fields leading to a diffrent link info page per paying site. I havn't tried this one as I am yet to need it, but theoratically it should work.
btw, Recycle Extra Fields:
e.g. I use the image url in one template as the link to chat url in another template, PS wont know the diffrence, ONLY if you do not need to use BOTH fields at the same time in the same template, and to reduce the confusion you can edit the extra field description text to indicate both uses, and this description will appear in your admin pages while adding or editing links.
Good Luck

Problem with changing or editing the "more info" hyperlink, is that if you edit it (Premium Links Style), it effects the entire directory it is used in... does it not? I think it does... I have each catagory customized too , even funner :( Thats what I am getting at, it cant be done unless i make it , its own catagory. This is the problem Ive been having from the beginning.
Maybe I didnt understand you right? Maybe yur wrong? Hopefully i am wrong...Maybe Im right?
I think the bottom line is I shoulda used ALL fields from the get go, I hope this gets conquered, so I can reimport some day.

Hey Guru,
I don't think so, if you create a custom template, the 8th file is the template that affects only premium links, there you should be able to replce the more info link with another one, it will affect only premium links, I know that as a fact, what I am not sure of is weather or not an extra field can be used there in this 8th template file, so that you can have a cutom url target for each of the paying cutomers as you said you wanted to do.
And remember to recycle extra fields

Not sure if I am on track with what you are trying to accomplish but how about a hidden field in the Add URL form? For the default image, why not something like:
input type=hidden name=image value=http://pathto/image
This would put the image on the page, and you could change the image when needed.

Good Idea...But for the pages and submissions I already have in the database, it wont change what is already created... I would have to go through each listing 1x1 and paste in my "advertise here banner.jpg"url.
I guess what I really wish is this...
An option in the control panel so that us the administrators can decide if values can equal = 0. If a value =0 we can have the option to set the field for all our pages. This would implement the changes to the entire database. This would allow all image fields that do not have any value, to be set to my "advertise here banner.jpg" default urls (but only if there is no value). This could cause problems for people who do not want to use all their banners or logos on their linkinfo pages, however. In which case a 1x1 clear pixel could be used. Maybe a setting for the Editing Extra Field/Key Section.
The other idea for more custimization would also be to have linkinfo.html template associated to each link individually, rather than by category. It seems if you modify linkinfo.html it effects the entire category so all listings have the same link information page. Or better yet if it is a premium listing, then it would get assigned its own premium customizable linkinfo.html templated page.
The only way I can customize the linkinfo.html for particular premium listings is by creating a category and changing its linkinfo.html , where as I would want the premium listings to have a customized linkinfo.html in any catagory however.
Kinda Tricky to explain.
