Is there any way to make premium links always come up first with certain keyword? Say someone searches for the keyword "Free" I would like all my premium links with the word "free" to show up first in the results. Can this be done and if not is it possible to include it in future version?

I agree that this is a slight problem. At the moment the search results are purely based on relevancy, so premium listings are treated like any other.

I think FM are looking into adding a PPC (Pay Per Click) module, which I imagine (hope) would be separate to the current premium listing system. By definition PPC means that listings that have bid for a particular keyword, would appear at the top of the listings for that keyword, in order of bid ammount.

I have run several PPC engines in the past, and in my opinion, the PPC model is getting a little long in the tooth. I know many PPC operators that just can not make any money out of it, because after all, if you are going to pay for your clicks, you are going to use the most popular PPC engine you can find, and not some little, obscure one.

However, for some particular niches, PPC can work on a smaller scale, but I think it is time that everyone jumped off the PPC bandwagon, and did something new, and different!

If FM do develop a PPC module for PS, I very much hope they will still include the current premium listing module too, just the way it is, but it would be much better if premium listings were weighted in the search results, to give them more favourable positioning.

Premium links will not fall away in the event where PPC is introduced.

I believe there will be a solution to Premium Links being displayed first when PPC is introduced.
