Hello
I looked at http://www.webmasterengine.com/, looks realy good.
Suggestion:
Use an icon in front of catagory like http://www.hotscripts.com
this way people can see in witch catagory new submissions are made.
(3 def kind of icons to show if an submission is 1-2, 3-5 or 6-7 days new/old)
Suggestion 2:
What's New and Most Popular
Show the 10 most popular or new submissions per catagory
(look at hotscripts.com):-)

Ver 2.1 will have the option of displaying new graphics next to categories when new links are added to the categories. It works in combination with the new graphics displayed with new links.

You can do this in ver 2.1 with Popular & New Link Includes
