Hi Gerrit,

I have come accross a curious problem.

Whenever I login to the admin screen and navigate around to diffierent areas it asks me to login again? Not sure why this is so?

Any ideas

Regards

The login will normally remember you for 24 hours. After 24 hours of your last login it will ask you to supply a password again.

Maybe this happens? -> If you logged in yesterday, and load up the control panel today then it may not ask you for a password. An hour later it logs you out because 24 hours elapsed since your last login.

Something that may cause premature log-outs is if the time on your computer does not match the time on the server by a couple of hours. We'll look into a remedy for this.

PowerSeek SQL 2.1 Beta is now available. You can get the upgrade from the members section.

The new version has the option where you can disable the built in password protection that comes with PowerSeek by leaving the user name and password blank in setup.cgi - You can then password protect the admin directory with .htaccess files if your host allows this.

Hi Gerrit,

Thanks for that,

I'm a little nervous leaving the directory unprotected and just using an .htaccess system.

Why can we not use what has worked very well all this time?

You can still use the built in control panel password protection. Just ensure that a user name and password is supplied setup.cgi
