PowerSeek 4.2 is now available! - 26 May 2009

Below are the changes and new features.

  • Image resizing is now available and supported from submission forms. When an 'extra upload field' has been configured to resize images then new images submitted with submission/modify forms will be resized. The sizing settings can be configured when editing an 'extra upload field' from the Control Panel >> Settings >> Extra Fields/Keys
  • Front Page Generation has slightly been slowed down as on shared virtual hosts front page generation could have issues if there was a large amount of front page categories and low server resources. With many categories and low server resources an error could be produced as the server may be refusing to continue execution of the script to generate front page categories because it is asking for a large chunk of server resources. Front page generation will now be slower (not very noticable) and lighter on server resources.
  • Movement graphics are displayed when clicking to edit templates from the template manager. This gives a smoother feel when working with the template manager.
  • Another 20 template sets has been added. These extra templates are templates especially designed for novices of HTML.
  • A slight modification has been made to the style sheet used by the PowerSeek control panel. Smaller fonts are used which makes it possible to display more information in a smaller space. The style sheet used can also always be manually changed by editing a file called ps.css that resides within the directory where PowerSeek places generated HTML files. Kindly note that if you upgrade PowerSeek that you will need to replace ps.css from the .zip archive over your existing one to view the new style used by the new style sheet in the Control Panel.
  • A new option is now available to view default factory templates when editing any template from the template manager.
